The Sea is a black-and-white feature dance film by Douglas Rosenberg, made on the Swedish island of Fårö. Through movement and the landscape of the Baltic Sea, it traces the imprints of ageing on body and soul.
The film follows the evolving relationships of men in later life with solitude, intimacy and community. Its cast, largely drawn from the Fårö area, brings together movement, memory and the particular humanity of a shared place.
