Mārtiņš Emīls Aržanovskis

Mārtiņš Emīls Aržanovskis is a Latvian contemporary dancer, teacher and choreographer based in Riga. His practice is rooted in Contact Improvisation, partnering and contemporary dance.

Mārtiņš holds a Bachelor's degree in Contemporary Dance from the Latvian Academy of Culture. As a dancer, he has worked with Latvian choreographers and artists in contemporary dance, theatre, opera and aerial dance productions, and has taken part in international festivals and workshops.

He teaches Contact Improvisation to adults and dance students, as well as contemporary dance technique to professional dancers. Since 2022, he has also taught Contact Improvisation at the Kontakts Raunā festival. His teaching focuses on physical awareness, listening, trust and communication between partners.
