Marina Baranova
Marina Baranova has been dancing, teaching and sharing Contact Improvisation for 14 years. Based in Ukraine, she works across teaching, organising, dancing and creative practice, guided by the inner landscapes she discovers through movement and relation.
Based in Ukraine, Marina teaches, organises and dances within the local Contact Improvisation community. Over the years, assisting Ruslan Baranov and meeting teachers, dancers and students across Ukraine have shaped the way she sees and feels the practice. These encounters continue to inform her teaching and creative work.
Her Contact+ class, Way in and Way Out, explores freedom, commitment, coexistence and mutual creation: how to be part of a whole while remaining oneself, and how a shared dance can come into being without erasing difference.
