Daniel Kearns

Daniel Kearns is a British / Irish physical theatre performer, dancer and writer based in Bulgaria. His work moves between raw physical movement, spoken-word poetry, improvisation and direct exchange with the audience.

Daniel works under the creative moniker Yurodivy and is active in Sofia's contemporary performance scene, including collaborations with DUNE Dance Company and experimental dance contexts in Bulgaria. His practice often treats sound, live music and text as active partners for the moving body.

At Contact+ he brings Descent, a solo physical theatre and improvisation work with live music by Dimitar Gorchakov, and also appears in FIELD with DUNE Dance Company. These two contexts place him between intimate solo excavation and collective contemporary dance performance.
